Sterkfontein Dam Nature Reserve
18 000HA of unspoilt land, The terrain varies from veld to forest to kloof. Wildlife is not prominent but there are several antelopes to be spotted. Every year in February the reserve hosts hosts the annual Catamaran Championships on the 7,000 ha dam. Visitors can also enjoy water sports activities such as fishing and canoeing. Spionkop Nature Reserve
visitors can view panoramas that stretch from hot valley bushveld across to the Drakensberg Mountains, often covered in snow in the winter. Steeped in Anglo-Boer War history, the reserve boasts a rich selection of wildlife amongst thorn savanna vegetation.Game drives, horse riding and battlefields.
